A meeting was held with the first students of the AZCON School of Engineering and Technology (AZSET).

The meeting was attended by Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev, Minister of Science and Education Emin Amrullayev, AZCON Holding Executive Director Shahin Babayev, Rector of Azerbaijan Technical University, Professor Vilayat Valiyev, Vice President of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Dr. Alex Braun, TUM Professor and Academic Director of the AZSET program Hussam Amrouch, as well as other distinguished guests.

During the meeting, held in a warm and engaging atmosphere, the students were congratulated on embarking on a new stage of their educational journey and wished every success. Discussions focused on the program’s academic curriculum, learning environment, and the opportunities and stages ahead.

The students shared their thoughts and raised questions on topics of interest to them. The discussion also highlighted the importance of education in modern engineering and technology, gaining practical experience, and building strong links with industry.

The importance of complementing theoretical knowledge with practical skills, gaining hands-on experience with emerging technologies, and preparing for future professional development from an early stage was also emphasized.

The AZCON School of Engineering and Technology (AZSET) was established on May 14, 2026, through a collaboration between AZCON Holding and Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), with academic support from TUM International GmbH.

AZSET is an innovative undergraduate program that marks a new stage in cooperation between higher education and industry, combining students’ theoretical knowledge with real-world professional experience.
