A representative of AZCON Holding participated in a session on the impact of mega events on sustainable urban development within the framework of World Urban Forum 13
As part of the 13th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13), a panel session was organized by German-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce at the “Business and Innovation Hub” platform.
The session, titled “From Events to Impact: How Mega Events Can Accelerate Sustainable Urban Development and Infrastructure Transformation,” featured Madina Jafarli, Head of Quality Management and ESG at AZCON Holding, as a speaker.
During her speech, Madina Jafarli spoke about the impact of large-scale international events held in Azerbaijan on urban infrastructure, sustainable development, and institutional transformation processes. She also highlighted the contributions of companies within the AZCON Holding ecosystem to the successful organization of such large-scale events and the creation of a long-term infrastructure legacy.
The panel also explored the opportunities mega events create in strengthening transportation systems, improving energy efficiency, promoting inclusivity, enhancing climate resilience, and implementing innovative urban solutions.
