AZAL Fleet Expanded with Fourth Modern Airbus A320neo Aircraft

Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), a company within AZCON Holding, has strengthened its fleet with another modern Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The introduction of the new aircraft is aimed at providing passengers with a more comfortable and modern travel experience. Featuring the innovative Airspace cabin, the aircraft offers a wider cabin layout, specially designed seats, and larger overhead storage compartments, enhancing passenger comfort. It is also equipped with a state-of-the-art entertainment system, high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, and individual monitors in Business Class.

Powered by next-generation engines, the Airbus A320neo delivers improved fuel efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, and an operational range of up to 6,300 kilometers, making it highly effective for regional and medium-haul routes.

The addition of the new aircraft is of strategic importance to AZAL, contributing to increased operational efficiency, lower fuel consumption and environmental impact, enhanced service quality, and expanded opportunities for launching new destinations.

The newly delivered aircraft is the fourth Airbus A320neo in AZAL’s fleet of 28 aircraft. With continuous improvement of the passenger experience and expansion of its route network among its key priorities, AZAL aims to increase the size of its fleet to 50 aircraft by 2032. This latest addition represents another significant step in the airline’s fleet modernization strategy and further strengthens Baku’s position as one of the region’s leading aviation hubs.
