Passenger transportation

Thus, in the field of passenger transportation, the average daily number of passengers on ADY during the reporting period was 28 thousand people, which is a 21% increase compared to the previous period. The average daily number of passengers transported by BakuBus routes increased by 39% compared to the previous period, reaching 557 thousand people. The average daily number of passengers transported on the Baku Metro decreased by 1% compared to the previous year, to 621 thousand people, due to the start of major repairs and reconstruction works at the "Hazi Aslanov" metro station. Thus, the average daily number of passengers transported by BakuBus and the Baku Metro was 1.2 million, an increase of 17%.

The total number of passengers carried by AZAL was 4.2 million, which is an increase of 3%. Transit passenger traffic increased by 30%, reaching 487 thousand people. The number of passenger cars put into service on the Baku Metro line increased by 9% compared to the previous year, reaching 381. The interval between trains was reduced by 15 seconds to 1 minute and 45 seconds.

Freight transportation

The volume of transit cargo transported via the East-West corridor through ADY was 3.7 million tons, which is a 12% increase compared to the previous year. The volume of container transshipments through the Port of Baku increased by 40% to 107 thousand TEU.

The volume of dry cargo ship transportation through ASCO was 1.3 million tons (an increase of 45%), while the volume of tanker transportation was 4.3 million tons (an increase of 2%). The volume of shipments outside the Caspian Sea increased by 129% compared to the previous period, reaching 1.4 million tons.

Thus, the results of 2025 served to develop AZCON Holding's transport infrastructure, provide more convenient and flexible services for passengers, as well as strengthen Azerbaijan's position as a regional and international logistics center.
