"Baku Metro" CJSC is being reorganized through the merger of "BakuBus" LLC and "Baku Taxi Service" LLC into it

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 7, 2026, 'Baku Metro' CJSC is being reorganized through the merger of 'BakuBus' LLC and 'Baku Taxi Service' LLC into it.  
 
The decision is aimed at organizing management in the public transport sector more effectively, strengthening the mutual integration of services, and ensuring urban mobility more efficiently.   

Within the framework of the reorganization process, it is planned to implement staged measures aimed at introducing a unified and coordinated management model in the public transport system, improving service quality, expanding digital solutions, and further enhancing passenger comfort.  
 
At the same time, it is planned to implement measures aimed at further strengthening integration between metro, bus, tram, and taxi services, developing public transport infrastructure in line with modern requirements, increasing safety and efficiency in passenger transportation services, as well as organizing urban movement more comfortably and efficiently.  
 
It should be noted that within the framework of the reorganization process, the continuity of services provided to passengers will be ensured, and operations on existing routes and services will continue.  

The new charter and structure of the Company shall be approved by the Azerbaijan Transport and Communication Holding (AZCON) within three months, subject to agreement with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
